A few reasons to be straight edge

1. Alcohol is a social disease which infects millions and leaves many other millions to suffer. For example, children, spouses, bosses, friends, co-workers.

2. Alcohol costs our country, all parties involved, like $135 billion a year. If you think you are part of a cause for human or animal rights you better give drugs up, cause that $135 billion that could be used to build instead of destroy.

3. Alcohol and other drugs are tools for making money. Everyone knows alcohol and drugs will eventually make you suffer. What product could be better to manufacture than one that causes addiction among consumers. They don't care if you suffer, you give them a paycheck.

4. It is for this reason, addiction, that our money hungry frineds in control of this country will never abolish drugs. So much tax money can be made off of an addiction.

5. Drugs encourage irresponsible, illegal behavior. Grow up.

6. 15 million kids are children of alcoholics. Not children of parents who drink, parents who are alcoholics. From what i've heard from my father being a child of an alcoholic is like living in hell, but you didn't do anything wrong to get you there.

7. Most people who use drugs do it to be accepted. Do not deny this. I don't care what you say, don't. Start living for the happiness of yourself, the happiness you knew innocently as a child. Not naivite, innocence.

8. You can save $$$.

9. Drunk driving kills innocent people. If you take a stand against, and so do the rest of us, we can do something, maybe even save people from losing thier lives!

10. There is no real benefit to doing drugs, except for immediate pleasure. it only is there while you are doing it and then it is gone. Then you feel bad cause you live without it. A state of homeostasis can be reached only without drugs. then, amd only then, will there be time to make the rest of your life right, making you a happier, healthier person in the long run.
